Let’s fête!
My Story
I’m going to try to keep this as minimally a “Helen-sized” description as I am so well known for—but that’s just really ‘me’ in a nutshell regarding anything & everyone I am ever so passionate about. I’m florally with all my stories, dive deep, & appreciate all the thoughtful details that make up the splendor in each of our colorful lives. I love crafting evocative experiences, even through my storytelling… yes, even in what is supposed to be my a brief ‘About’ section of my company.
So, here’s my not-so-brief-but-kind-of-small-for-Helen story: acknowledging all of the above, it’s no wonder I sprinted full throttle towards being an interior designer / experiential designer. I’ve spent the last decade of my life formally as an interior architect & experiential designer, graduating from University of Washington with a Bachelors in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts & Architecture & continued (remember, I dive deep) my education at Pratt Institute with an Masters in Interior Design. I strive to touch people’s lives in all gamuts of their day to day & my portfolio/CV reflects this variety in high end retail design, influential technology corporate campuses, luxury single family residential, & bespoke multi-family complexes. You name it, I’ve probably at the very least dabbled in some experience you come across in your day-to-day.
What has persisted in all of this design work is how much time I’ve spent outside of the firms, hosting & crafting celebrating our most joyous times in all of our lives, & valuing those who we hold near & dear to our hearts. I’ve styled & designed numerous friends & family’s weddings (& was featured with full page spreads in Seattle Bride magazine, which for those of you, may know, this ages me quite well), created beautiful confections from scratch, & what I like to think, museum-grade celebratory experiences for birthdays, bridal showers, & every celebratory fête in-between—a girlfriend’s long overdue dinner party reunion? Yes, because now as a new mom, I have come to value even more these precious moments in our lives that truly, we should celebrate. every. day.
& this leads me to the conclusion of my 5-part essay about my story: my daughter has inspired me to leave my corporate career & bring these whimsical, joyous moments, styled to the nines, to those all around us. I’m here to use my skills, talents, & my passion to help you celebrate in style, with ease, & revel in the joy that is the every day of our lives.
Let’s fête.
Cheers.
